(Remembering Black Heroes During Black History Month And Beyond)

Ida Bell Wells-Barnett (July 16, 1862 -March 25, 1931) was an African-American journalist, newspaper editor, suffragist, sociologist and, with her husband, newspaper owner Ferdinand L. Barnett, an early leader in the civil rights movement. She documented lynching in the United States, showing how it was often a way to control or punish blacks who competed with whites. She was active in women’s rights and the women’s suffrage movement, establishing several notable women’s organizations. Wells was a skilled and persuasive rhetorician, and traveled internationally on lecture tours.

Vernon Johns (April 22, 1892- June 11, 1965) was an American minister and civil rights leader who was active in the struggle for civil rights for African Americans from the 1920s. At times he has been rated as one of the three greatest African-American preachers, along with Mordecai Johnson and Howard Thurman.

He is considered by some as the father of the American Civil Rights Movement, having laid the foundation on which Martin Luther King, Jr. and others would build. He was Dr. King’s predecessor as pastor at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama from 1947 to 1952, and a mentor of Ralph Abernathy, Wyatt Walker, and many others in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

Emmanuel Barbee (January 31, 1971-) is an African-American, community activist, sociologist and, a contemporary civil rights activist, as well as the founder and president of the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. He is also the author of “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” Second Edition.  Unlike his predecessor’s he lacks support from established black organizations and black churches his city for the past twenty two years to launch his bold ideas on ending gun violence, poverty, and structural inequality. This is why he turned to the internet to gather other liked minded individuals from around the world to join his cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghetto’s. His goal is to find thirty people within the state of Illinois or beyond who have read his book for those individuals, to come to Chicago and work with him directly in moving his virtual organization from behind a computer into a various communities he discuss in his book.  He also plan on turning his book into a movie so that he start his private school the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute in order to do all of the things he discuss in his book to the fullest. Once his organization is established in Chicago, he plan to expand it to twenty five other cities within twenty five states. Once his organization is established in twenty five states he plan to expand his organization abroad to Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean Islands to people that want and need his services. In this day and age with all of this technology we have available to us how many more children have to die before Black America heed my vision?

About the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement (GRCAM)

We are a small team of committed individuals based online, dedicated to getting the message out to the public about social issues which are affecting African Americans and our communities. I created the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement as a freedom movement in order to solve our social problems by networking and team building as well as conflict resolution, to help the low income African American Community starting in Chicago and eventually in twenty five cities within twenty states.  We will create our own independent political party that will bring independence to a broken, unfair, and secret process that gives current politicians too much control. We need to put the voters back in charge.

Our nonpartisan campaign will bring together community leaders, people at the grassroots, and everyone in between. I wrote my book believing that informed people would make informed decisions, that the true and comprehensive information needed to empower people. I am grateful to participate in a global movement that transcends politics and integrates personal spiritual awakening informed activism. I am thrilled to be working and contribute to the tireless energy the whole team puts into helping wake up our people and others within the United States and worldwide. It’s inspiring to me!  GRCAM is a highlight in my life as it brings together all of my skills and knowledge into a comprehensive offering to my community, my people, and to society. I feel privileged to be part of an organization that will make a real positive change in our inner cities.

I am not your average Christian for I am a Christian Socialist. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. I am also a social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur are people who tries to solve social, cultural, and environmental issues. Some of my Christian friends ask me why do I include secular people on my friends list? I explain to them that we as Christians should focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19. There are lots of established organizations that keep on using the same sound bites. If given a chance my organization will end gun violence, poverty, police brutality, and structural inequality within the communities and cities we will serve.

I am asking all of my international friends and associates in Africa, Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean Islands, and Europe to purchase and read my book for yourself. If you agree with what I am trying to do for our racial group in America and eventually in your country then by all means share my book information with your family; friends; associates; spiritual leaders in your country and those who are living abroad. I want to start my organization in my city (Chicago) and in America first for credibility purposes and also so that my creator will be glorified. As soon as I have my team (thirty people within the state of Illinois or beyond) in place and we find a place of business in Chicago then I will expand my organization in twenty five other cities within twenty five states. Once my organization is established in twenty five states then I will come to Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean Islands and offer private employment within my organization to people that want and need our services pending on our budget and sponsorship. We will also provide agricultural technology to countries that need them. My organization is open to all ordinary law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist but everyone must agree with all of the principles in my book no exceptions.

The best way to help is by purchasing my book and staying connected with me by joining my social groups. You can help me spread my book information by engaging as many people as possible to read my book and join my virtual organization (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. Our distribution strategy is to use social media and word of mouth until I can generate enough capital from the proceeds of my book to move my organization from behind a computer into the various communities I discuss in my book. We appreciate your help and support. As I mentioned in my book the financial elites are centralizing all of the material wealth and power for their own benefit, while destroying the lives of billions  around the globe.  GRCAM offers a real solution, empowering  our people and others with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our communities. What are the guiding principles that would lead to freedom from war, hunger, and domination? How do we work toward a world where no one is violated or coerced in any way? These are the kind of questions I answered in my book. If each of us uses our unique gifts, and we collaborate with others, we can create the world we want to live in. The time is now! Many people have asked that I share my blog and my take on current issues like the global domination agenda, and the transition to a truly free society, as well as updates about GRCAM. I invite you to join the discussion by commenting on the page. This is my contribution back to my community and throughout the African Diaspora. Real Christian Socialist Online
