(Support The Vision: Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos)

Posted in Community on October 31, 2015 by Mr. Emmanuel Barbee

I refuse to be ignored I am fighting for our children who are trapped in American ghettos. Since I lack support from established black organizations in my city I decided to write and publish my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. I provide a detail road map on how my organization (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance.

We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex-offenders, former gang members and the homeless. GRCAI will develop and promote new ideas that foster greater economic choice and teach personal responsibility. Nurture individual creativity, strengthen the black family, make an impact on public policy, and provide information to the public, primarily through our community base services and our independent media.

The best way to support this vision is for people on my friends list to purchase my revised book and read my story for yourself. If you agree with my plan to improve our inner cities in America starting in Chicago then work with me in getting my book on the best sellers list. I still need my group members to stand up and work with me in getting my revised book on the best seller list by spreading my book information with there family, friends, place of worship, and at there local community center.  I am not interested in writing more books I am interested in finding a legitimate film director and producer to work with me in turning my book into a motion picture.

I am still seeking 30 professional individuals within the United States who will join my management team and will help me run this organization on a daily basis. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Once we’re established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa. GRCAM is about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to families that want more out of life and people who need our services. My organization is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.

(The Solution For Black America)

Posted in Community on October 29, 2015 by Mr. Emmanuel Barbee

23 years is much to long for my message to be ignored my information is relevant in this day and age. I refuse to allow small minded individuals from discouraging me from my God given assignment. I am determined to use my story as a catalyst for social change.  The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement was created by Emmanuel Barbee on a website called Gopher back on November 1991 in order to improve the inner cities of Chicago starting on the Westside and later on the Southside. GRCAM aim is to connect with other liked minded individuals across America and abroad to deal with all of the complexities within the black culture, GRCAM seeks to strengthen the black family and the low income African American community by:

* Networking and sharing knowledge through webinar conferences, relevant information in the group

* Promote cooperative alliances with community organizations, Native Africans, and Caribbean Islanders

* Invite guest to participate in our online activities, which are designed to raise awareness about issues affecting the black community

My intention for creating this group and other groups is to gather support from people who want to solve black issues once and for all by building bridges between cultures and religions, networking and sharing information that the main stream media will never share.

FOR THE BLACK COMMUNITY

My main goal is to move this virtual organization from behind a computer and be involved with community affairs. GRCAM mission is to end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance. GRCAM is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. Most GRCAM activities are free but we will have some services that will cost in order to fund our programs. I want to hire professions to join my management team so that I can do all of the things which I have written in my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. This book is an auto-biography about my experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago. I wrote this book for three reasons: one reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America.

Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement.  GRCAM will become  a none profit and also a for profit multi-service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component. Our focus is on providing goods and services to the low income African American community and working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve.

Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist me in the daily operation of my business. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Once we’re established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is a Christian Socialist organization.  A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. I am an upcoming a social entrepreneur. A social entrepreneur are people who try to solve social, cultural, and environmental issues. Some of my Christian friends ask me why do I include secular people on my friends list? I explain to them that we as Christians should focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will become a nonprofit as well as a for profit multi-service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component.

Our Social service component – Will provide goods and services to the low income African American community by working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex offenders, former gang members, and the homeless. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result we will have safer streets where our clients can raise their families.

Our spiritual component – Would be optional for secular people. We will focus on personal develop, self-sufficiency and create productive individuals and functional families within the communities we will serve. We welcome all Christian denominations in the faith, we will work with moderate Muslims to teach the community about tolerance and how to co-exist by respecting one another belief system. I want us to pool our resources collectively for the common good of the community.

Our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. We will educate the community and push for community rights by creating our own laws and get those laws on the books which will be compatible with the dominant culture. Our laws would protect our local residents and give the community a voice and those affected by bias in the current system. We will hold both Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions in a constructive manner. We will form cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this organization can be diverse for all people of Chicago and surrounding suburbs of Chicago.

My plan also include creating a private school called the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute, school of Arts and Entertainment. We will offer six basic classes ranging from Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing Workshop, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students pending on our budget and sponsorship. I am still seeking 30 individuals within the United States who have or who will read my revised book and agree with my plan to improve our inner cities starting in Chicago.

Those persons will go down in history with me for I will share the limelight as mentioned in my book. They will assist me with the daily operations of the business. They must be brave enough and smart enough to join my management team, for those persons to make themselves known to me. They must have degrees or training in the following areas: Executive Assistant, Accountant, General Manager, Social Worker, Associate Director, Financial Planner, Marketing, Information Technology Coordinator, Grant Writer, Lawyer, Development Assistant, Real Estate Broker, Business Manager, Insurance Agent, Administrative Receptionist, Human Resource Manger, Finance, Musician, Vocal Coach, Poet, Play Writers/ Film Makers, Actors/Actresses, Theater Director, Public Relation Specialist, Journalist, and Box Office Staff. It’s my hope that my book will be used as a tool for community based advocacy and to create dialogue for social justice.

It does not matter your political affiliation if you are a black Christian, a black Muslim, or which social class you identify with if you are African American/Black American your chances of being abused by a Rogue Cop will be treated equally. Black people are the only racial group in America that don’t stick together accept when racism is in the spot light. I wrote my story in order to reach like minded individuals. I provided a detail road map in my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will help end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance.

The goal of GRCAM is to develop and support the black family through a wide range of multi services to improve the economic conditions within the low African American community starting on the Westside of Chicago and also on the Southside of Chicago. GRCAM is about building leaders and help the black family that wants more out of life. GRCAM is a Christian socialist organization it will consist of  a non-profit component and also a for profit component which will cultivate and empower future African American leaders through professional development, community service, and networking.

GRCAM will offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. GRCAM will also create a second chance program for ex-offenders, former gang members and the homeless. For twenty three years I have been doing my best at trying to find 30 people within the United States who are professionals and who meet the qualifications I am looking for. Once my organization is established in Chicago I will declare war on Willie Lynch mentality within the black culture. GRCAM is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.  Real Christian Socialist Online

All I can do at this point is to continue to share my vision about improving our inner cities in America starting in Chicago until Black America, my group members, and sympathizers step up and work with me in turning my words into action. The best way to help me do my job is by supporting me through purchasing my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. I would like for my book to be used as a tool for community based advocacy and to create dialogue for social justice. I give much props to Sister Naimah Latif for allowing me to promote my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition on her blogtalkradio show. It’s a shame I am unable to find anyone in my city to step forward and join my management team so that I can present an effective and successful black business in our inner cities in Chicago. I am seeking 30 individuals within the United States who have or who will read my revised book and who are brave enough and smart enough to join my management team, for those persons to make themselves known to me.

They must have degrees or training in the following areas: Executive Assistant, Accountant, General Manager, Social Worker, Associate Director, Financial Planner, Marketing, Information Technology Coordinator, Grant Writer, Lawyer, Development Assistant, Real Estate Broker, Business Manager, Insurance Agent, Administrative Receptionist, Human Resource Manger, Finance, Musician, Vocal Coach, Poet, Play Writers/ Film Makers, Actors/Actresses, Theater Director, Public Relation Specialist, Journalist, and Box Office Staff. It’s my hope that my book can be used as a tool for community based advocacy and to create dialogue for social justice. I wrote my book to earn money to hire my staff and eventually find a legitimate film director and producer to work with me in turning my book into a motion picture so that I can get my message out to the masses of people across the United States and abroad.

Before I give my movie review I am calling upon the art community. I am seeking legitimate local artist and national artist in the area of Poets, Performing Artist, Musicians, Actors, Actresses, Singers, Models, and Film Directors/Producers who will work with me in turning my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition into a motion picture. It’s my hope that my future film would become a block buster to attract Angel Investors, Donors, Philanthropist, Sponsors, and Social Entrepreneurs in America and abroad so that I can eventually  move my virtual organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement from behind a computer screen. Native Africans and African Americans need to learn to patronize each others businesses and art works before we start talking about black unity.

Last night I watched an awesome film on Netflix called Beasts of No Nation. This is one of the best African films I’ve seen since Catch a Fire, Cry Freedom, and Sarafina. Beasts of No Nation is Based on the 2005 novel by Uzodinma Iweala and set in an unnamed African country, Beasts of No Nation tells the story of Agu (Abraham Attah), a young boy who gets separated from his family when army troops invade his village and kill everyone in sight. Fleeing to the wilderness, Agu encounters a group of rebel mercenaries led by a fearsome Commandant (Idris Elba) and is immediately recruited by them. There he undergoes dangerous initiation rituals and rigorous training, but also finds a kindred spirit in Strika (Emmanuel Nii Adom), another young recruit.

Beasts of No Nation, directed by True Detective’s Cary Joji Fukunaga, is not for the faint of heart. Agu plight is painfully real in similar parts of the world. Knowing that, it can be hard to stomach Agu’s transition into becoming a killer especially when boys his age shouldn’t even have to think about things like that. But this is a coming-of-age story grounded in harsh truths, and newcomer Abraham Attah skillfully captures his character’s awful transformation. Luckily, Agu has his buddy Strika to lean on in times of strife, but even that relationship is fragile in war.

Idris Elba, charismatic as the Commander inspire his followers believe what ever he says. As he moves his troops from site to site, it becomes clear that he has insecurities about their never ending rebellion. This story is not just about the children who fight, but also the grown men who leads them to battle. As brutal as Beasts of No Nation is, the set-pieces are exhilarating and, at the same time  beautiful. The film also has moments of true artistry, thanks to Fukunaga’s inspired cinematography. The most striking image comes late in the film when Agu trudges through a muddy, labyrinthian trench and passes by numerous dead bodies without a second glance. It’s a nonessential moment in the story, but it perfectly illustrates Agu’s desensitization to violence.

That said, Beasts of No Nation accomplishes what it sets out to do; it exposes the horrors of children fighting in war, and it asks the tough questions that surround that issue, and it does so in a compelling way. Beasts of No Nation is extremely effective in depicting one boy’s harrowing journey into the heart of war. While Agu’s account is fictitious, his character’s loss of innocence is entirely real for hundreds of thousands of children across the globe. Tapping into that grim reality can be hard to watch, particularly for Agu. However, you can’t deny the talent that’s on display from newcomer Abraham Attah, as well as Idris Elba. Beasts of No Nation is worth watching for its strong performances and uncompromising direction. It’s my intention to start my private school the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute school of Arts and Entertainment could become
a safe place for inner city youth, who play games and enjoy the comfort and safety of the organization.
