(The Moynihan Report vs. The Solution For Black America)

The Negro Family: The Case For National Action also known as the Moynihan Report, back in 1965 was written by Daniel Patrick Moynihan, an American sociologist serving as Assistant Secretary of Labor under President Lyndon B. Johnson. Moynihan was elected to the first of several terms as U.S. Senator from New York and continued to support liberal programs to try to end poverty. His work focused on the deep roots of black poverty in the United States and which was  controversial because it pinpoint the high rate of families headed by single black mothers which he claimed will hinder progress of African Americans economically and political equality. Moynihan argued that the rise in Black single-mother families was not due to a lack of jobs but ghetto culture, which could be traced to slavery and continued discrimination in America.

In contrast, the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is based on Emmanuel Barbee revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. This book is the foundation of GRCAM and will be taught to our clients and members. Emmanuel Barbee hopes that his book can be used as a tool for community based advocacy and to create dialogue for social justice. Emmanuel Barbee provide a detail road map on how his organization will end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance.

GRCAM focus is on developing and supporting the black family through a wide range of multi services to improve economic conditions within the low African American community starting in Chicago. GRCAM is about building leaders and help the black family that wants more out of life. GRCAM is a Christian socialist organization it will have a non-profit component and also a for profit component which will cultivate and empower future African American leaders through professional development, community service, and networking. GRCAM will provide private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. GRCAM will also create a second chance program for ex-offenders, former gang members and the homeless. November 10, 2015 will mark 24 years that I have been sharing my plan/vision online/offline to improve our inner cities in America. I refuse to allow small minded individuals from discouraging me from my God given assignment. I am determined to use my story as a catalyst for social change. The aim of GRCAM is to serve inner city children and their families affected by poverty, crime, and adversity by meeting the need of the community starting in Chicago.

In order to achieve our goals, I need my group members to stand up and work with me in getting my revised book on the best seller list by spreading my book information with there family, friends, place of worship, and at there local community center. Once my organization is established in Chicago I will declare war on this Willie Lynch mentality within the black culture in Jesus name.

I call upon all Christian denominations in America and abroad to go on Amazon.com and purchase my book and read my story for yourself. If you agree with my plan to improve our inner cities in America then work with me in getting my revised book on the best sellers list by Sharing my book information with your family, friends, your place of worship, and also at your local community center.

I call upon the art community: I am seeking local artist and national artist in the area of Poets, Performing Artist, Musicians, Actors, Actresses, Singers, Models, and Film Directors/Producers who will work with me in turning my book into a movie. I pray my book and future film would become a best seller and a block buster to attract Angel Investors, Donors, Philanthropist, Sponsors, and Social Entrepreneurs in America and abroad to work with me in moving my virtual organization from behind a computer screen.

I am seeking 30 individuals within the United States who have or who will read my revised book and are brave enough and smart enough to join my management team, for those persons to make themselves known to me. They must have degrees or training in the following areas: Executive Assistant, Accountant, General Manager, Social Worker, Associate Director, Financial Planner, Marketing, Information Technology Coordinator, Grant Writer, Lawyer, Development Assistant, Real Estate Broker, Business Manager, Insurance Agent, Administrative Receptionist, Human Resource Manger, Finance, Musician, Vocal Coach, Poet, Play Writers/ Film Makers, Actors/Actresses, Theater Director, Public Relation Specialist, Journalist, and Box Office Staff.

Our programs range from a series of panels, workshops and seminars, and web-based sessions and networking as mentioned in the book. GRCAM  will promote strategies that strengthen black families. Our aim is to harness public and private resources to promote comprehensive programs, relevant research and targeted policies that build families where children and youth flourish while adults learn the skills to function effectively in today’s challenging environment.

The black family has been subjected to economic and social conditions beginning with enslavement and then ghettoization and exclusion from basic resources has made impact on the black family. Racial discrimination affects every aspect of life: Occupation, education, income, housing, nutrition, mental health. Poverty is an economic status related to absence of monetary gain and access to resources. There is a prevalent belief in America that if you work hard you can obtain sufficient  income for the necessities of life such as food, clothing, and shelter. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement exposes the contradictions in America critical issues such as structural inequalities and institutionalized racism in America that are not being addressed in American politics.  Government bureaucrats will never change attitudes and values all of this must be done in subtle ways. Liberal ideology at correcting our urban problems are off point.

GRCAM aim is to create a covenant community/rules of conduct within the community and residents we will serve. The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will help resolve grievances within the community and develop trust with the local police department. We will mind our own business just like the Amish community by creating our own laws and controlling our own affairs. Change can only come about through progressive, democratic reform, organizing, analyzing, educating, and political action at the local and state level. GRCAM is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. My book will be taught to all of our clients and members. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.
