For twenty three years I have been reaching out to established black organizations about my plan to improve our inner cities in America starting in Chicago but they dismiss my plan.  I created my virtual organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement on a website called Gopher back in November 10th 1991 in order to connect with other liked minded individuals across America and abroad to talk about all of the complexities within the black culture and come up with ideas on how to solve the social conditions in our community. GRCAM seeks to strengthen the black family and the low income African American community by:

* Networking and sharing knowledge through free webinars, providing relevant information to others in my social groups

* Promote cooperative alliances with community organizations, Native Africans, and Caribbean Islanders and sympathizer who are concerned about our cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos

My intention for creating GRCAM is to gather support from people around the African diaspora who want to solve black issues once and for all by building bridges between cultures and religions, networking and sharing information that the main stream media will never share.

After 15 years of being over looked by established black organizations in my city I decided to go a step further by writing and publishing my first and second book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition. This book is an auto-biography about my experience growing up in the inner city of Chicago. I wrote this book for three reasons: one reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. GRCAM will become a nonprofit and also a for profit multi-service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component.

Our Social service component – Will provide goods and services to the low income African American community by working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex offenders, former gang members, and the homeless. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result we will have safer streets where our clients can raise their families.

Our spiritual component – Would be optional for secular people. We will focus on personal develop, self-sufficiency and create productive individuals and functional families within the communities we will serve. We welcome all Christian denominations in the faith, we will work with moderate Muslims to teach the community about tolerance and how to co-exist by respecting one another belief system. I want us to pool our resources collectively for the common good of the community.

Our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. We will educate the community and push for community rights by creating our own laws and get those laws on the books which will be compatible with the dominant culture. Our laws would protect our local residents and give the community a voice and those affected by bias in the current system. We will hold both Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions in a constructive manner. We will form cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this organization can be diverse for all people of Chicago and surrounding suburbs of Chicago.

My plan also include creating a private school called the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute, school of Arts and Entertainment. We will offer six basic classes ranging from Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing Workshop, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students pending on our budget and sponsorship.

Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist me in the daily operation of my business. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Once we’re established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa.

The low income African American community have experience an economic since “Black Wall Street” referring to the 1921’s Tulsa Oklahoma, where African Americans were in complete control of their community and their businesses. The aim of GRCAM
is to build a foundation of long-term stability, while bringing into fruition short-term progress on these goals in the spirit of Black Wall Street in Tulsa of 1921, who proved it could be done. I thank those of you for supporting my vision by purchasing my revised book and reading my story for yourself. Those who agree with my plan to improve our inner cities in America starting in Chicago please make yourself known to me by joining my free social groups and keeping the lines of communication open with me. Please share my book information with your family, friends, your place of worship, and also at your local community center. GRCAM is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.
