(Vision Shift: Seeking Talented Individuals To Play In My Upcoming Film)

Emmanuel Barbee is an African-American urban author and a community activist. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement was created by Emmanuel Barbee on a website called Gopher on November 1991 because of lack of support from established black organizations in his hometown Chicago. He created GRCAM in order to help improve the inner cities in America starting in Chicago on both the Westside and on the Southside. Since 2001, over 4000 people has been killed in Chicago alone. Today Chicago is currently the murder capital in America.

Founder/President Emmanuel Barbee

I founded the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement so that I could get things done without all the excuses. Since I have been blessed with graduating from college and publishing my revised book, I figure I would use my position and my limited resources to encourage all of my online group members to work with me in getting my revised book on the best sellers list so that I can attract professional film directors and producers to work with me in getting my story on the big screen and eventually attract Angel Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, and Social Entrepreneurs to discuss my start up for profit business behind closed doors. In contrast, I also plan to meet with Donors, Philanthropist, and Sponsors to discuss my start up nonprofit organization behind closed doors.

I am on 300 social networks and have 125,000 people worldwide on my friends list and most of them are members of my social groups. Being online allows me to bring together a distinct community of people from around the globe. I have my own blogtalkradio show to help promote my cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos starting in my city of Chicago. I believe in impacting the lives of children and their families who desire to utilize our services. I realize we are all so blessed to enjoy the many freedoms and resources that are available to us here in America. Even though I can never re-pay the Lord for all the blessings He has entrusted to me. I want to use the blessings God has given me to bless others.

Stand up Westside Chicago residents in Austin, Garfield Park, and North Lawndale and work with me in getting this organization in your community.
Stand up Southside Chicago residents in Auburn Gresham, Bronzeville, Chatham, Englewood, Pullman, Roseland, Southshore, Washington Park, and Woodlawn and work with me in getting this organization in your community. Stand up single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families, for this organization will become a resource for you and your children. You have a voice and you also have a choice.

The purpose of my social groups is for me to unite liked minded individuals on social networks from across the United States and from around the globe to network with one another and help patronize each other via events, products, or services. Unlike other social groups who discourage people from advertising their books or businesses my groups is geared towards giving people a chance to promote their products/services. If you are a member of my groups, please feel free to add others. All of my groups are co-op groups where we can all help each other in cross promotion of each other by sharing information with your own circle of friends.

I am just trying to move my virtual organization (GRCAM)the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement from behind a computer as soon as I have my team in place and I generate enough capital from my book sell and my future film. I want to avoid scammers and those who are only interested in selling their own products without supporting me others in the group. Please share this with your circle of friends in building our co-op group. Once my virtual organization is established in Chicago I will invite those who are active in my groups and who have purchased my revised book to come to Chicago and meet/greet our clients and members in person.

In order for me to achieve my goal, I need people in my groups and Chicago residents to stand up and work with me in getting my revised book on the best seller list by spreading my book information with your family, friends, place of worship, and at your local community center. My organization is open to all law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. No passive spectators or half steppers allowed. If you are unable to travel to Chicago you can connect with me on Skype we can do voice chat or video chat and I will answer any of your questions about my book and my organization. My Skype screen name is manwell4mankind. This is my contribution back to my community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.

Early life

Emmanuel Barbee was born on January, 31 1971, at Cook County Hospital, Chicago Illinois. He is the youngest of three boys Melvin Barbee and Javon Barbee. When Barbee was an infant, his mother, Esther Barbee left his father because of his obsessive drinking. He was brought up in a very poor working class family.

At age seven, he was illegally taken away from his mother and placed in the foster care system. He was beaten and mistreated by his foster parents and by a neighborhood gang. The quest to answer social justice became a motif in Barbee’s writing.

Religion

At age 14, Barbee was returned back to his mother and in that same year he joined his mother’s church God’s Miracle Temple a non-denominational church where he was baptized. His church experience significantly shaped his worldview and writing.

Social and political activism

Barbee is the founder and president of the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. GRCAM will continue where Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement ended “The Poor People’s March” of 1968.  The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will be an urban outreach initiative. Their program will provide talented individuals and working families from underserved communities an opportunity to develop and improve their basic skills and provide recreational activities for their clients, and also provide tutorial support for students.

The inner city offers few productive activities for those, who are trapped in American ghettos. There are some community organizations which offers programs for troubled youths, but space and funding are extremely limited. Apart from playgrounds and a few recreational centers, there are few safe places where children can go within the black ghetto. Capitalism benefits from poverty stricken communities, because it creates a black market, such as the drug trade in order to entrap career criminals to be imprison for the penal system this is capitalism 101. Drug Gangs has a great influence on children in those neighborhoods. They are lured by the fast money as drug dealers or gun traffickers. Though Emmanuel never joined a gang, he occasionally found himself in a group of shady neighborhood kids, who committed petty crimes. Emmanuel steers completely clear of wrong doing throughout the book, as he has tries to be a model citizen.

Emmanuel was chased out of his former community by criminals and street thugs during his street campaign. He relocated in North Chicago and begin creating online groups in 1991. He is gifted in the area of research he can find anything in print. He assist others who have accepted his hand of friendship with finding college scholarships – grants, small business grants; housing; legal services and employment on a national level all for free. He is on 300 social networks and he correspond with 125,000 people worldwide spreading his vision and recruiting others to join his cause. His organization will fulfill Dr. King’s dream of ending poverty and structural inequality in Urban American and in America in general after they end gun violence first in the communities and cities that will receive his services.

His story presents the other side of the so called American dream. His book mentions that children as young as thirteen years old are already engaged in urban violence, and gang membership. There are several points Emmanuel mention in his book which are useful in understanding the social context of the urban poor in American society. First, his story addresses some of the causes of domestic violence.

Emmanuel points out that the youth are robbed of their innocence by their social environment. Their attitudes are shape by violence that they encounter on a daily basis due to neglect from the broader society which is why Emmanuel calls for starting a new political party “democratic socialist party” at the local level to address community issues and to create their own laws which are compatible to the dominate culture.
He wants the community to be an equal partner in his private organization and for them to put his political party in power at the local level. Their first goal is to change the current gun laws and to work with other communities beyond the black community in order to build trust with the community he plans to serve. More resources are given from the federal government to combat international terrorism, because capitalism have an interest in protecting commerce more than urban terrorism which effects those who are trapped in American ghettos.

Secondly, his book presents the case that children could succeed if given a chance. Emmanuel exemplifies this by excelling when given the chance to attend college. The story also reveals a gross violations of human rights, depriving most of the youths of chances of successful futures. Established black organizations and career politicians who are supposed to maintain peace and order as well as look after the welfare of the community are the ones who corrupted the budget intended for the betterment of the people they were suppose to serve. He calls them black capitalist. For him they are the ones largely responsible for the horrendous living conditions in the black ghettos of America.

What is the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement? GRCAM mission is to end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance. GRCAM will offer basic services and programs to the low income African American community particularly to strengthen single black mothers, single black fathers, and two parent working families. To raise awareness about the genocide within our inner cities in America and Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos so that:

* Our clients/members children can grow up in a safe loving environment

* Our clients/members children have access to information and resources to succeed in life

What is the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute? The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute school of Arts and Entertainment will be the place where we put my ideas into action. GRCAI will be a private school which will offer six basic classes ranging from Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing Workshop, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students pending on our budget and sponsorship. Our long term goal is to offer a music workshop with an onsite music studio and tutorial service which will include an after school program, adult education program, and a recreational center for our clients, members, and the community. We will work with our clients and members and connect them with resources in order for them to reach their personal life goals and live a more productive life.

We will offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex-offenders, former gang members, and the homeless. Those who are business minded we will teach them how to start their own business and work with them until it materialize. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result our clients can raise their family in a safer environment. He will exclude small minded individuals who only complain about the white man and the social conditions but never do anything to change the problem. He will also exclude criminals, active gang members, and passive spectators who only want to be seen.

The black culture have been hijacked by criminals, thugs, and urban terrorist since the late 60s. For 24 years Emmanuel Barbee have been sharing his vision both online and offline yet still to this day he have no one on his management team this is why he decided to write his story “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition on Amazon.com Once his organization is established in Chicago he will declare war on Willie Lynch within the black culture. Emmanuel Barbee vision goes beyond Urban America. Once they’re established in 25 cities within 25 states he plan on having Native Africans in America to assist him in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa.

CORE VALUES:

* Involvement with discernment

* Fostering stability through authentic relationships

* Developing cooperative alliances with other organizations beyond the black community

* Transparency in all matters of business

* Long-term community transformation

* Effective deployment of resources

* Embracing God in all we do

Objectives:

* Create ownership of the process for local residents

* Establish chapters on the Westside and on the Southside of Chicago as mentioned in my book

* Establish GRCAM in 25 other cities in America based on the Chicago model
GRCAM vision to improve our inner cities starting in Chicago. Promote economic development so that our communities are able to compete in the business sector and have an opportunity to reach economic independence through entrepreneurship.  The aim of GRCAM is to connect with other liked minded individuals across America and abroad to deal with all of the complexities within the black culture, GRCAM seeks to strengthen the black family and the low income African American community by:

* Networking and sharing knowledge through webinar conferences, relevant information in the group

* Promote cooperative alliances with community organizations, Native Africans, and Caribbean Islanders

His controversial revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition provides a roadmap on how his organization will end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance. He wrote this book for three reasons: One reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my virtual organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. GRCAM will become a nonprofit as well as a for profit service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component.

Our Social service component – Will provide goods and services to the low income African American community by working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex offenders, former gang members, and the homeless. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result we will have safer streets where our clients can raise their families.

Our spiritual component – GRCAM is a Christian socialist organization. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. We will focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19. This component is optional for secular people.

We will promote personal develop, self-sufficiency and create productive individuals and functional families within the communities we will serve. We welcome all Christian denominations in the faith, we will work with moderate Muslims to teach the community about tolerance and how to co-exist by respecting one another belief system. I want us to pool our resources collectively for the common good of the community.

Our primary goal under the spiritual component is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to teach, preach, and demonstrate the Living Word of God so that people will not only believe and receive the Word  but will also develop an awareness of who they are in Christ. Our earnest desire is to assist believers in becoming established in the truth of God’s Word so that the Power of God’s Word is demonstrated in people’s life. Our outreach department will provide useful information for Christian growth such as: Free Bible Studies,  Free Audio & Video Teachings, Online Bibles,  and other resources that can help Christians develop a better understanding of Jesus Christ.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is unlike most organization because we will practice what we preach and stand for plus to fully enjoy the benefits of GRCAM people must attend our mandatory orientation and for our clients and members to sign a consent form stating that they agree with all of the principles in my revised book. This is because we have certain standards that we hold our clients and members to as stated in the book.

GRCAM is not the place to engage in doctrinal debates. As Christians, we must understand that there will be some with less knowledge than others, and there will be doctrinal issues that may differ from what you or I personally believe. Yet, the Word of God tells us: “As For the man who is a weak believer, welcome him into your fellowship, but do not criticize his opinions or pass judgment on his scruples or perplex him with discussions or disputations about his faith.” (Rom 14:1 AMP)  Let us therefore be tolerant of others who are less knowledgeable and use wisdom and love towards each other. It’s my hope that we can work together to keep GRCAM a place of peace where all Christians regardless of denomination can share their thoughts and ideas freely and without fear. Remember that Jesus said: “Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS for they shall be called the children of God” (Matt 5:9)

Our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. We will educate the community and push for community rights by creating our own laws known as community rights and get those laws on the books which will be compatible with the dominant culture. Our laws would protect our local residents and give the community a voice and those affected by bias in the current system. We will hold both Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions in a constructive manner. We will form cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this organization can be diverse for all people of Chicago and surrounding suburbs of Chicago.

Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified individuals within the United States to assist me in the daily operation of my business. Once my organization is established in Chicago I will declare war on this Willie Lynch mentality within the black culture. GRCAM will become a safe place for inner city youth, who can play games in our recreational center and work on their academic skills in a safe environment. We will provide a sense of hope in urban communities. GRCAM is about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to families that want more out of life and who want to utilize our services.

My book is just the beginning it’s my hope that my revised book can be used as a tool for community based advocacy and to create dialogue for social justice. I am ready to move my virtual organization from behind a computer screen God willing. I want to make this a meaningful experience for my readers I ran across so many fake people online I am an authentic urban author and upcoming social entrepreneur.  I want my upcoming film to compete with Star Wars a science fiction movie versus my story which will benefit not only our inner cities in America but also our society as a whole. In 2016 my focus is as follows:

* I am currently seeking local and national artist in the area of Poets, Performing Artist, Musicians, Actors, Actresses, Singers, Models, and a legitimate Film Director/Producer who will work with me in turning my revised book into a motion picture so that everyone in the United States would know what I am trying to do for my city and other cities in America.

* I plan to meet people from the business community who are Angel Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, and Social Entrepreneurs to discuss my start up for profit business behind closed doors. In contrast, I also plan to meet with Donors, Philanthropist, and Sponsors to discuss my start up nonprofit organization behind closed doors.
