(The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement)

I created the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement(GRCAM) on a website called Gopher back on November 10th, 1991 because my ideas were overlooked by established black organizations in his city. I am not affiliated with the political machine in Chicago because of all the corruption and cronyism associated with Chicago politics. The purpose of GRCAM is to form a new movement within Black America that would be an independent collective movement which does away with the many divisions within the black community that is counterproductive. After 15 years the lack of manpower and capital I decided to write and publish my story “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition available on Amazon.com

I wrote this book for three reasons: one reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. GRCAM will become a nonprofit and also a for profit service based business. It will have three main components: a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component.

Our Social service component – We will provide goods and services to the low income African American community by working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex offenders, former gang members, and the homeless. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and services and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result we will have safer streets where our clients can raise their families.

Our spiritual component – (Optional for secular people) GRCAM is a Christian socialist organization. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. We will focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19.

We will promote personal develop, self-sufficiency and create productive individuals and functional families within the communities we will serve. We welcome all Christian denominations in the faith, we will work with moderate Muslims to teach the community about tolerance and how to co-exist by respecting one another belief system. I want us to pool our resources collectively for the common good of the community. Our primary goal under the spiritual component is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to teach, preach, and demonstrate the Living Word of God so that people will not only believe and receive the Word but will also develop an awareness of who they are in Christ. Our earnest desire is to assist believers in becoming established in the truth of God’s Word so that the Power of God’s Word is demonstrated in people’s life.

The Bible tell us to bear one another’s burdens. In the book of Galatians 6:1, New International Version Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. GRCAM will build partnerships between faith community within the African American community in order for us to fight against injustice through education, organizing, and advocating for social change in our society.

Drawing from sacred scriptures, GRCAM upholds the belief that every person is created in the image of God and therefore deserving of dignity and respect within this organization. The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement is a membership based community resource for local residents in the low income African American community. GRCAM will teach the community about their rights, file complaints with local government agencies, organize direct actions, and access legal representation. GRCAM will play a unique role in community activism and contract campaigns where workers are seeking to leave poverty and advance their opportunities through unionization or improving their existing collective bargaining agreements. GRCAM bring moral persuasion, support through prayers, direct action, and economic development.

Our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. We will educate the community and push for community rights by creating our own laws known as community rights and get those laws on the books which will be compatible with the dominant culture. Our laws would protect our local residents and give the community a voice and those affected by bias in the current system. We will hold both Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions in a constructive manner. We will form cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this organization can be diverse for all people of Chicago and surrounding suburbs of Chicago.

Our focus is on providing goods and services to the low income African American community and working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve.

Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist me in the daily operation of my business. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Once we’re established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa.

The Mission

To help end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance.

The Vision

To assist single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families and self-sustaining urban communities through cooperative alliances with similar community organizations. Offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and our sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex offenders and the homeless.

Objective

To mobilize like minded people across the United States and abroad to purchase my revised book and work with me in getting this book on the best seller list.

The Solution

The Grass Roots Community Activist Movement will represent the great diversity within black culture in film making and performing arts from African Americans, Afro Brazilians, Caribbean Islanders, and Native Africans throughout the African Diaspora. My revised book is the foundation of my organization. GRCAM is private in order for me to weed out trouble makers and small minded individuals who careless about our inner city youth and our cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos.

Once I generate enough capital from my book sell and have my management team in place then I will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute in Chicago which will offer a broad range of services:

Once my organization is established in 25 states I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa. I want to earn creditability in America first before we expand abroad to Africa. We will go through the proper channels with their government to start my (NGO) Non-government organization/ private for profit service based business in order to offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and our sponsorship.

We will provide infrastructure for clean running water, agricultural technology to feed the people, and most of all help improve the African economy as well as educate our people about the problems with Capitalism and show them an alternative GRCAM. We will also expand to Brazil and the Caribbean Islands. GRCAM is about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to families that want to utilize our programs and services. My organization is open to all ordinary law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is my contribution back to my community, society, and throughout the African Diaspora.

My goal this year is to connect with 30 individuals within the United States who have read my story and who agree with my plan to improve our inner cities in America starting in Chicago. They must have degrees or training in the following areas: Executive Assistant, Accountant, General Manager, Social Worker, Associate Director, Financial Planner, Marketing, Information Technology Coordinator, Grant Writer, Lawyer, Development Assistant, Real Estate Broker, Business Manager, Insurance Agent, Administrative Receptionist, Human Resource Manger, Finance, Musician, Vocal Coach, Poet, Play Writers/ Film Makers, Actors/Actresses, Theater Director, Public Relation Specialist, Journalist, and Box Office Staff.

My book is just the beginning, it’s my hope that through my book I could connect with people from the business community who are Angel Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, and Social Entrepreneurs to discuss my for profit business plan. In contrast, I also plan on meeting with Donors, Philanthropist, and Sponsors to discuss my nonprofit business plan.

Get involved

In order for me to achieve my goal, I need people on my friends list, people in my social groups, and Chicago residents to stand up and work with me by spreading my book information with your family, friends, place of worship, and also at your local community center. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states as mentioned in my book.
