We are also focusing on greater understanding and empathy across racial lines and listening to the oppressed point of view.

To eventually start our own ministry and engage, equip and encourage inner city youth and their families through spiritual, academic and family development. Our goal is to see them transformed their lives through personal relationship with God and learn to lead lives of significance. Once I generate enough capital from my book sell and have my management team in place then I will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute in Chicago. GRCAI will hold live events food, worship, and sports activities that are lead by local artists and performers.

GRCAI is dedicated to bringing awareness of the progress within the communities we will serve. We will show our films, stage plays, and music, hold discussion panels, and offer live entertainment from our students to a large audience. We’re spreading our arms wide into urban neighborhoods starting in Chicago. You have the ability to affect change in the communities by reading my story and sharing my book information with your family, friends, place of worship, and also at your local community center. We’re in need of volunteers who are willing to use their gifts, talents, and abilities to work with us until we are able to help those in need. If we all join together we can all restore one life at a time to change entire cities.

Spread the Word:

Simply email all your friends tell them about GRCAM and my book which is an opportunity for them to help us do our job with serving in the inner cities through job training, literacy programs, mentoring, assisting single parents, and at risk youth in the African American community.

Pray:

Prayer is the ultimate tool given to us by God! We’re always looking for prayer partners. We currently need the prayers for wisdom, and provision to keep us going forward.

Our Beliefs:

We believe that there is one God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinite in love, perfect in judgments, and unchanging in mercy. God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10-11; Matt. 28:19; Lk. 3:22)

We believe in the divine inspiration, truthfulness, and authority of both the Old and New Testaments, the only written Word of God, without error in all it affirms. The Scriptures are the only infallible rule of faith and practice. The Holy Spirit preserves God’s Word in the church today and by it speaks God’s truth to peoples of every age.

(Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos By Reading My Story)

Posted in Community with tags , , , on May 29, 2016 by Mr. Emmanuel Barbee

My name is Emmanuel Barbee I am the founder and president of the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. I created GRCAM on the belief that our inner city youth and their families are entitled to respect, basic resources, and safety within the African American community. The only problem is I am unable to find 30 qualified individuals in my city to join my management team. After 15 years online and offline sharing my action plan with those who careless about our forgotten children trapped in American ghettos I decided to write and publish my story
“The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition on Amazon.com in order to attract qualified individuals to join my management team so that I can move my virtual organization GRCAM from behind a computer.

On Facebook alone I am affiliated with 3,979 groups yet a majority of administrators delete my post which prevent my message from getting to the right people. Unlike many of these Administrators/Moderators that claim to be about the black community I’m about addressing and solving black controversial issues, networking with others and making connections with liked minded individuals across the United States and abroad. I will only support those who support me. My social groups are open to Artists, Entrepreneurs, Spiritual leaders to promote their products or services.

Respect cultural differences and viewpoints be cordial to everyone in the group. No sexual photos or anything considered inappropriate will be removed. Everyone’s opinion is important and valid even if you don’t agree with it. If you are not in compliance with the group guidelines, then you will be deleted from my group. Their will be member of the month only for members who are active. If any member want to host discussions inbox me.

Those of you who claim that you don’t know me then get to know me by purchasing my revised book and read my story. Participate in my free webinars or bet yet send me your email address to my Facebook inbox, Google inbox, or LinkedIn inbox so that I can make arrangements to meet with you and others in person at the Harold Washington Library located in Chicago, Illinois. I can’t do this alone in order for me to achieve my goal, I need people on my friends list, people in my social groups, and Chicago residents to work with me by spreading my book information with your family, friends, place of worship, and also at your local community center.

My book is just the beginning once I generate enough capital from my revised book and have my management team in place then I will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute in Chicago. GRCAI will empower local and national Actors, Actresses, Artists, Comedians, Fashion Designers, Film Makers, Models, Musicians, Performing Artist, Poets, Singers, and Writers.

Our students will learn Film Making, Performing Arts, Entrepreneurship Training, Journalism, Book Writing, and Financial Literacy. We will offer internships and give stipends to our students and offer private employment to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex-offenders, former gang members, and the homeless.

My pledge to the inner city of Chicago residents is that none of my members will ever have to endure such humiliation and rejection just for trying to do something positive in the black community. Since 2001 over 4000 people has been killed in Chicago alone and as a result Chicago is currently the murder capital in America. We see that nothing out there is working to end senseless violence in Chicago why not embrace my action plan?

It’s my hope that GRCAI will be a gathering place for aspiring artists and upcoming entrepreneurs and eventually a gathering place to connect people interested in film, music, dance, design, theater, fashion, and culinary arts. Our events will attract hundreds of individuals, businesses and organizations for discussions & workshops, networking opportunities for local residents. We will have food, live music, and sports events to help fund our programs and services to make sure our neighborhood is safe vibrant and productive. This will be a lasting legacy in our community. It’s my hope that GRCAI could someday become the Hub in the Midwest for emerging artists and upcoming entrepreneurs. GRCAI will host live entertainment and all types of events, workshops and seminars with such topics as legal, financial and space issues.

GRCAI will represent the great diversity within black culture from film making and performing arts to entrepreneurship from African Americans, Afro Brazilians, Caribbean Islanders, and Native Africans. GRCAI is open to all ordinary law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. GRCAI is private in order for me to weed out small minded individuals and people who careless about our inner city youth. This is my contribution back to my community, society, and throughout the African Diaspora. Peace over violence

(Explaining My Vision To Black America & Others)

Posted in Community with tags , , , on May 28, 2016 by Mr. Emmanuel Barbee

I created the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement on a site called Gopher on November 10, 1991. I created GRCAM on the belief that our inner city youth and their families are entitled to respect, basic resources, and safety within the African American community. The only problem was trying to get others in my community to work with me in starting this new movement in the black community.

I use social media to broadcast my cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos through my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition on Amazon.com in order to recruit qualified individuals to join my management team in order for me to move my virtual organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement from behind a computer.

We will look for 24,000 square foot building until we can purchase the leased property for our after school programs and provide classrooms for our students as well as a gymnasium for our recreational center. My pledge to the inner city of Chicago residents is that none of my members will ever have to endure such humiliation and rejection just for trying to do something positive in the black community.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute will provide superior customer service to all of our clients and members. Unlike other traditional community organizations that are copy cats we are about taking the lead to help end urban violence, poverty, structural inequality, institutionalized racism, and police brutality within the communities and cities we will serve if given a chance. GRCAI will utilize a membership based approach to recruiting and staffing. This collaborative effort results in better services. GRCAI will implement innovative programs that will set us apart from the competition.

GRCAI will be committed to serving inner city youth and their families who reside in underserve communities. We will work closely with educators to identify students who are most likely at risk of dropping out of school and that need an intervention. We will offer tutoring, mentoring, and social services to prove to the community that we care about them as our own, by meeting their basic nutritional, spiritual and healthcare needs.

It’s my hope that through my revised book I will connect with 30 individuals within the United States who have read my story and who agree with my action plan to meet me in person. They must have degrees or training in the following areas: Executive Assistant, Accountant, General Manager, Social Worker, Associate Director, Financial Planner, Marketing, Information Technology Coordinator, Grant Writer, Lawyer, Development Assistant, Real Estate Broker, Business Manager, Insurance Agent, Administrative Receptionist, Human Resource Manger, Finance, Musician, Vocal Coach, Poet, Play Writers/ Film Makers, Actors/Actresses, Theater Director, Public Relation Specialist, Journalist, and Box Office Staff.

It’s also my hope that I could connect with people from the business community who are Angel Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, and Social Entrepreneurs to discuss my for profit business plan. In contrast, I also plan on meeting with Donors, Philanthropist, and Sponsors to discuss my nonprofit business plan.

History

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ revealed the vision to me, to build a holistic Christian organization which will focus on strengthening the black family and promoting community activism. After 15 years the lack of manpower and the capital to jump start my Christian business so I decided to write and publish my story. My action plan to help improve our inner cities in Chicago has been overlooked by established black organizations in my city.

Yet since 2001 over 4000 people has been killed in Chicago alone and as a result Chicago is currently the murder capital in America. We see that nothing out there is working to end senseless violence in Chicago why not give my action plan a chance? Since I lack the manpower and the capital to start my Christian organization I wrote the vision and made it plain in my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition on Amazon.com

I wrote my book for three reasons: one reason is to raise awareness about the genocide which is taken place within our inner cities in America. Another reason why I wrote my book is to promote my virtual organization the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement. GRCAM will become both a nonprofit and also a for profit service based business. We will have three main components which are independent of one another. They will consist of a social service component, a spiritual component, and a political component.

Our Social service component – We will provide goods and services to the low income African American community by working directly with single black mothers, single black fathers, and low income two parent families within the communities and cities we will serve. We will offer private employment within the organization to our clients and members based on our budget and sponsorship. In time we will offer a second chance program for ex offenders, former gang members, and the homeless. Our goal is to first stabilize the community through our outreach programs and services and create legitimate jobs so that our young people don’t become career criminals. As a result we will have safer streets where our clients can raise their families.

Our spiritual component – (Optional for secular people) GRCAM is a Christian socialist organization. A Christian socialist is a form of socialism based on the teachings of Jesus. Many Christian socialists believe that capitalism is idolatrous and rooted in greed, social inequality, and institutionalized racism which most Christian denominations consider a mortal sin. We will focus on what we stand for: love, compassion, social justice, and liberation theology. Jesus commanded us to be a witness to others not just for us to read his word, but to activate social change in the world according to Luke 4:18-19.

We welcome all Christian denominations in the faith, moderate Muslims to teach the community about tolerance and how to co-exist by respecting one another belief system and Secular People. GRCAM will play a unique role in community activism and contract campaigns where workers are seeking to leave poverty and advance their opportunities through unionization or improving their existing collective bargaining agreements. GRCAM will bring moral persuasion, support through prayers, direct action, and economic development to the black community.

Our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. We will educate the community and push for community rights by creating our own laws known as community rights and get those laws on the books which will be compatible with the dominant culture. Our laws would protect our local residents and give the community a voice and those affected by bias in the current system. We will hold both Rogue Cops and Urban Terrorist accountable for their actions in a constructive manner. We will form cooperative alliance beyond the black community so that this organization can be diverse for all people of Chicago and surrounding suburbs of Chicago.

Finally, I wrote my book in order to generate capital/seed money so that I can hire thirty qualified individuals to assist me in the daily operation of my business. I want to make Chicago a model first before we expand to 25 other cities within 25 states. Once we’re established in America I plan on having Native Africans in America to assist me in setting up chapters in 25 countries in Africa. I can’t do this alone in order for me to achieve my goal, I need people on my friends list, people in my social groups, and Chicago residents to work with me by spreading my book information with your family, friends, place of worship, and also at your local community center.

GRCAI is about building a strong unified global community and providing basic resources to families that want to utilize our programs and services. My organization is open to all ordinary law abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. GRCAI is private in order for me to weed out small minded individuals and people who careless about our inner city youth. This is my contribution back to my community, society, and throughout the African Diaspora.

(Black America When Will You Wake Up?)

Posted in Community on May 24, 2016 by Mr. Emmanuel Barbee

The Case of Freddie Gray a 25-year-old man, who was arrested by the Baltimore Police Department for possessing what the police alleged was an illegal switchblade. While being transported in a police van, Gray fell into a coma and was taken to a trauma center. Gray died on April 19, 2015; his death was ascribed to injuries to his spinal cord. Two bystanders captured Gray’s arrest with video recordings, showing Gray, screaming in pain, being dragged to a police van by officers, and then stepping up into the van. A bystander with connections to Gray stated that the officers were previously “folding” Gray with one officer bending Gray’s legs backwards, and another holding Gray down by pressing a knee into Gray’s neck. Witnesses commented Gray “couldn’t walk”, and “his leg look broke and you all dragging him like that”. Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts noted from the video that, “Gray stood on one leg and climbed into the van on his own.” The bottom line he died in police custody and they are responsible for his care. This is a clear case of police brutality. Under our political component – We will create our own independent political party at the local level. (Dear Black America How Long Will You Continue To Ignore My Action Plan To Improve Our Inner Cities In America?)

Posted in Community with tags , , on May 23, 2016 by Mr. Emmanuel Barbee

Time and time again we see that marching and chanting in the streets “Stop The Violence” has not resonant with perpetrators. Making lots of noise will get you on the news but won’t solve the issue alone.

All I am trying to do is share my action plan with people who are dead serious about improving our urban communities in Chicago through my revised book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition on Amazon.com The proceeds will go towards me hiring qualified people who will work with me in the daily operation of my Christian business.
