(To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required)

It is during this holiday season, I pause, and give Thanks to you, my family and supporters, in my continued struggle to connect with other like-minded individuals who will work with me and Sister Rena in getting my book information out to the general public and recruiting qualified individuals to join my management team so that I can do all of the things which I have written.

My vision as an authentic black leader is to give back to my community, by starting a new movement in Black America called the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. We will promote and provide black students and their families with the necessary tools to achieve academic success in all areas of their educational careers, teach and inform them about their rights and responsibilities in public education, and help them develop leadership skills to become effective leaders of their communities through mentoring them and assisting them to become successful contributors in society. Our goal is to promote a more just and inclusive society by strengthening low-income, primarily the black family through skill-building, access to critical resources, advocacy and collaborative action.

My Biography

Emmanuel Barbee, was born and raised in Chicago. As a former resident of Austin, Emmanuel is still committed in creating resources on the Westside and the Southside to elevate the inner cities of Chicago and beyond. Upon graduation from Northeastern Illinois University, Emmanuel face job discrimination and felt completely let down by his city. He landed a job as an GED instructor while working in the medical field part time as an Emergency Room Technician. He had ambitions of becoming a Physician Assistant but immersed himself into social issues facing his community. He wanted to understand the lack of jobs, why loans for small businesses were not attainable and what he could do to create and preserve opportunities in underprivileged underserved communities.

Emmanuel created (GRCAM) the Grass Roots Community Activist Movement in 1991 on a site called Gopher to help raise awareness about the genocide which is taking place within our inner cities in America, in order for him to connect with other like-minded individuals who share his concern to form a legitimate coalition in the United States and around the globe for his cause Help Stop The Genocide In American Ghettos starting in Chicago. His goal was to gain enough support to start his Christian business the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago.

After 15 years of reaching out to black people online and offline Emmanuel decided to write and publish his book “The Solution For Black America: Reclaiming, Rebuilding, And Restoring The Urban Ghettos In America” second edition which is available on Amazon. Emmanuel provides a 21st century plan on how his Christian organization will help eradicate urban violence in Chicago under-served communities while at the same time meet the social needs of the communities and families they will serve if given a chance.

Emmanuel hope that his book would help him recruit brave and smart individuals who will come forth and join his management team or he will wait until he generates enough capital from his book sells in order to hire the type of people he wants on his team then he will start the Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago. GRCAI will teach our black boys and girls about entrepreneurship, resume building, and job interviewing skills and declare war on this Willie Lynch within the black culture. Emmanuel’s vision goes beyond Black America he also wants to expand his organization to 10 countries in Africa with the assistants from African Immigrants in America.

Emmanuel is seeking between 10 to 30 individuals within the United States who have read his story and have the expertise that he is looking for which are as follows: Investors, Business Partners, Christian Entrepreneurs, Social Entrepreneurs and Philanthropist. He is also looking for legitimate artists such as film directors, producers, actors, stage managers, fundraisers, technical directors and marketers who can assist him with the daily operation of his business. He will discuss compensation and incentives with them behind closed doors.

His book is just the beginning what Emmanuel wants to be remembered for is trying to build something positive in the black community instead of complaining about the white man, career politicians, and the government not investing in urban communities. Emmanuel Barbee brings his experiences, relatable struggles, business acumen to the table.

The Grass Roots Community Activist Institute of Chicago will be a magnificent event interactive space. We will rebuild Black Wall Street within the inner cities of America by promoting the Black Chicago Renaissance, which was a creative movement which emerged in Chicago’s “Black Belt” which gave rise to Black writers, political activism, and social change. We will host birthday parties, art shows, and conferences in a safe environment on our property. GRCAI will provide quality programs and services to benefit the black community and promote culture retention. GRCAI will operate under 5 separate functions within the African American community.

1. A social service component

2. A Spiritual component (optional for secular people)

3. A Political component

4. An Entertainment component

5. An Entrepreneur component

GRCAI will take the lead to solve black issues once and for all. Emmanuel is calling for new leadership in Black America it takes a team to make a dream work. Emmanuel is just one black man with a plan and a vision.

The only thing which is preventing Emmanuel from starting his Christian organization in Chicago is the lack of manpower and the capital this is why he use social media to get his message out to the public through his Youtube videos, his Social Groups, his Blog Postings, his online talkshow, and now through his revised book. Since Black America has rejected Emmanuel’s plan for the past 26 years Emmanuel decided to make his organization private membership based in order to weed out small minded individuals who don’t care about black life, inner-city youth and their families, or the black community. No harden criminals, No active gang members, No urban terrorist, No pedofiles, and no half steppers allowed. GRCAI will be open to all ordinary law-abiding citizens, all racial groups, and undiscovered artist. This is Emmanuel Barbee’s contribution back to his community, society and throughout the African Diaspora.
